Sunday 25th May 2025: The Charms of Charleston Walk

The Charms of Charleston Walk will take place at 2pm on Sunday 25th May, led by Gary.

Description:

We will go up to the South Downs Way with stunning views, then down to visit Charleston Farmhouse (Festival on which will allow access to areas not normally open, free) for Tea and Cake, before returning to Firle.

Please note that the weather forecast for Sunday looks uncertain, so we may consider moving the walk to the bank holiday Monday if Sunday becomes very wet. Please check this post for an update nearer the time.

The Old Boot Inn, Seaford. In the unlikely event this venue is closed on the night, we will move to The Old Plough round the corner.

Transport:

Car: Via A259. Park at the Buckle Car Park near the starting point.

Bus: 12 along the coast. Get off at Hill Rise, and it’s about a 5-minute walk to the starting point.

Train: To Bishopstone Station + a short walk.

Meeting Point:

On the Seafront near to the Newhaven & Seaford Sailing Club.
