Description
We will head up a moderate hill in Lewes itself on the way to the Lido, from where we will follow the River Ouse northward (and see the work going on where the recent derailment was!), then up the steep climb through forest to a magnificent lookout where we can have a short break, the views are wonderful! We then continue the climb to the top of the quarry with another almost scary view, then along the GMT line to a new cafe (Salt Cafe) at the Stud farm, where we may want to stop in before a long decent back towards Lewes Prison and the Cemetery, then the park just before Lewes Station where, if before 5pm, one can buy ice creams and sweet treats before ending our afternoon together.

From Wannock we head to Fulkington, round the South Downs Way to Jevington. We return to Wannock across the hills with splendid views in all directions and a tea stop on the way.

Description
From the starting point, we head across country towards the cliffs near Beachy Head, then along the coast with beautiful views via Birling Gap back to East Dean. Refreshments in the Tiger Inn afterwards.

Description
From the Friend’s Clump Car Park, we cross Stone Hill and head south, curving round through the woodland towards Duddleswell for a stop at the café for afternoon refreshments. Next we make for Ellison’s pond followed by a slow, steady climb towards the Old Lodge Nature Reserve. We return to our starting point via the Garden of Eden Waterfall and Nutley Windmill.
