The Sun is Rising Walk will take place at 2pm on Sunday 22nd March led by Gary.

Description:
The next walk, with hopefully good weather after a relatively dry week ahead, will be in Devil’s Dyke area. We head up steps carved into the slope, 1/3 the way up New Timber Hill, then along an undulating new path along the side of New Timber until we reach The Wildflower Cafe at Saddlescombe, where we can have tea/snack lunch &/or cake. The last 2/3 of the walk proceeds via a long medium slope up the side of Devil’s Dyke to the top, which we will walk around to then descend back down into Poynings.

Meeting place in front of Poynings Village Hall (BN45 7AQ) where there is parking along the front of the Village Hall, slightly recessed from ‘The Street’, and if full another area to the north along same road in a small parking area at end of row of houses.
